Obituary

Alexander Joseph Dumais unexpectedly passed away on the morning of August 20, 2020 at his childhood home in South Hadley, Massachusetts at the young age of 27. He was born on February 4, 1993 to Alan and Christine (Rougeau) Dumais as their second child to his sister Alycia (Dumais) Dehaas. Alex graduated from South Hadley High School in 2011 and studied architectural drafting at the Porter and Chester Institute in 2013. His sound competence and creativity in the field later led him to work as a civil drafter at Mott MacDonald. Alex was deeply devoted to his career and completed many large projects for his company. Alex leaves behind his incredibly courageous mother, loving sister and two young nephews who thought the world of him. He was a dear friend and colleague to so many; most notably his bestfriends since preschool, Mike Shauer and Sam Laroche. Alex's selfless compassion, confound kindness and upbeat personality will be deeply missed by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him. The funeral home service will be Saturday September 5 th at 6:30 pm at the Curran-O'Brien O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley, MA 01075.
