Alfred J. Swider of South Hadley, MA. passed away peacefully April 12th.  He was born March 25, 1929 in South Hadley, MA, to John and Nellie Swider.  He was a Navy veteran and was a crew member on the USS DesMoines cruiser.  He was employed by Buxton leather company and was a machinist in Worcester.  His beloved wife Phyllis passed away in 2012.  He is survived by two step children, Donna Desrochers of Florida and Rick Maurer of MA.  He is also survived by 7 step grandchildren.
