Alice E. Germain, 88, died Sunday at Wingate of West Springfield. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Albert and Yvonne Germain, graduated from South Hadley High School and the School of Nursing in Westfield. She was a Chicopee resident for 50 years. She worked as LPN for the Westfield Sanitarium and later for Pine Manor Nursing Home. Alice loved making puzzles, reading and rooting for the Boston Red Sox. She leaves her sister Linda A. Croteau and her husband Andre of Ware and her brother Franklin A. Germain and his wife Judy of FL. She was predeceased by her siblings Albert D. Germain, Thelma Pearson and Gerald, Paul, Leroy and Francis Germain. She also leaves many neices and nephews. The funeral will be Saturday at 9:00 am from Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley, MA followed by Mass in St. Patrick's Church, South Hadley at 10:00 am.
