Andre L. Croteau, 74, died Saturday July 6, at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Drummondville, Canada to the late Rene and Elianne (Bellefeuille) Croteau, grew up in Chicopee, lived in South Hadley and has lived in Ware for many years. He was self-employed and co-owner of Croteau Brothers Roofing, Siding and Remodeling prior to moving and continued in the construction business after moving to Ware. Andre enjoyed Nascar, The Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots, Bowling, Golf and scratching lottery tickets. He served with the Army during the Vietnam War. He leaves his wife Linda (Germain) Croteau of 53 years, a son Allen Croteau of South Hadley, two daughters Christine E. Croteau-Antonelli of NJ and Catherine A. Croteau-Chow of Clinton MA, a brother Yvan Croteau of South Hadley and wife Joan, ten grandchildren Jonathon, Daniel, Devan, Nicholas, Jordan, Joshua, Kaeleigh, Kaelyn, Olivia and Ryan and two great grandchildren Amelia and Alexandria. He was predeceased by his grandson Christopher. The funeral will be Monday July 22 at 10:00 am from Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley followed by Mass in St. Patrick's Church at 11:00 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Mass Veteran's Cemetery in Agawam. Calling hours are Sunday July 21 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. For more information please go to curranobrien.com.
