Obituary

Andrea was bright, colorful, and had a style all her own. She was genuine, vibrant, hilarious, assertive,
honest, unique, theatrical, and an incredibly loyal and devoted friend. Andrea always added to every
conversation and excelled at seeing the complexity of life. She was a free spirit who loved music, singing,
dancing, and entertained everyone in her life. Andrea had true compassion for everyone and could
connect with anyone no matter who they were. She was full of drama and adventure and life was her
theater. The world has lost a brilliant prismatic light – a light we should not have lost!
After backpacking through Europe with her best friend, Andrea enjoyed a long career in the hospitality
industry. From her days working in the Lodge at Yellowstone National Park, which afforded her the
opportunity to travel and explore, to running her own business: The Weathervane in Brattleboro, where
she was able to incorporate her love of music and dancing into her work day. Andrea most recently
worked at the 110 Grille in Hadley, where she was lucky enough to gain an entire new family that loved
and adored her; she felt the same about all of them.
Andrea passed away July 9, 2021, held by her loved ones as she moved on to her next adventures. Born
on May 24th, 1975 to, the late Michael J. Moriarty and Donna (Descant) Gonet of South Hadley. Andrea
is predeceased by her father, Michael; her son, Elliot; her stepfather, David; her cousin and friend,
Lindsay; and her Godmother, Debbie. Her memory will be cherished by her loved ones that she leaves
behind: her mother, Donna, who will be lost without her; her sister and protector, Joni; her niece,
Hannah and nephew, Ethan, whom she was always so proud of; her bonus niece, Colleen, who she also
adored; her grandmother, Joan; her longtime friend and newly found love, Kevin; her stepdaughter,
Tabatha, who always held a big piece of her heart; her stepmother, Ginger; her roommate and
