Obituary

Anita C. Barsalou passed away on July 29, 2023 with her loving husband, Ralph G Barsalou of 64 years by her side. She is predeceased by her father Leo Boileau, and her mother Diane. Anita is survived by six children; Lynn Trompke and her husband Dave of Granby, Darlene George and her husband Guy of Granby, Thomas Barsalou and his wife Cathy of Southwick, Karen Martin of Chicopee, Angel Gaudrault and her husband Wayne of Granby, Gregg Barsalou and his wife Tammy of Granby. In addition to her children, she is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Anita's greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren Falon, Jessica, Kristine, Rickey, Ryan, Nicole, Branden, Felicia, Tyler, Colin, Julie and Alyson along with all of her great grandchildren.

After raising her 6 children she worked as a Dental Assistant in Chicopee for many years. She enjoyed creating floral arrangements for weddings and special occasions. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Friends and family may gather for a calling hour at the O'Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley on Friday, August 4th, from 10am to 11am. A funeral home service will take place at 11:00 am followed by the burial at West St. Cemetery in Granby.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrance to be made in the form of contributions towards Parkinson's Disease.
