Obituary

Audrey, age 84, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, at AccentCare Hospice in Cumming, Georgia.

Audrey was born on September 28, 1941, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, to Sidney Albert Crossland and Margaret Jean Mitchell Crossland, who preceded her in death.

A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Audrey built her life around faith, family, and caring for others. She was married to Robert D. Patten on April 15, 1961, and together they raised four daughters. Later in life she married Norville Turner.

Audrey was a longtime church member and found community and purpose through her faith. She was affiliated with Unity Presbyterian Church in Denver, North Carolina, Hamilton Mill Presbyterian Church in Hoschton, Georgia, and Tuskawilla Presbyterian Church in Winter Park, FL.

Her greatest joy was supporting her daughters and their activities. She proudly served as a PTA mom, band mom, classroom mom, and field trip mom—roles she embraced wholeheartedly and with great enthusiasm.

Audrey also worked at Deerwood Elementary School in Orlando, Florida. A talented professional seamstress, she had a lifelong love of creating with her hands. She enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing, and knitting, often sharing her creations and meals with family and friends.

She is survived by her children: Lisa Cunningham and her spouse James, Sandra Huff and her spouse Roger, Wendy Lambert, and Jennifer Patten. She is also survived by her sister, Janet Kriebel, along with ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.

A graveside celebration of Audrey’s life will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, South Hadley, MA on September 26, 2026 at 12:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Frankie and Andy’s Place senior dog rescue in honor of Audrey’s beloved pup, Zoey:
