Barbara Ann (Brewster) D'Astous, 89, died Thursday September 14th at Regal Care in Holyoke. In her own words, Barbara was born October 18, 1933 in Westfield, daughter of the late Fredrick Reed Brewster and Beatrice Roseandra (Whitaker) Brewster. She lived in Littleville, MA attended Chester schools and graduated from Doerr Academy of Cosmetology in Springfield. She married Zenon J. D'Astous on May 29, 1954 and lived in the Littleville-Huntington area all her adult life. She leaves four sons Wayne of Worthington, Michael of Huntington, Zenon Jr. and his wife Sherry of Blandford and Timothy of Chester, one daughter Julie Ann and her partner Gail Chadwick of South Hadley, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, two brothers Frederick Brewster of Wyben and Ronald Brewster and his wife Darlene of Montgomery, sister Patricia Nugent and her husband Albert of Worthington and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Zenon and her sister-in-law Camille Kelso Brewster. Committal services in the Norwich Bridge Cemetery in Huntington will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Littleville Fair Grounds, 15 Kinnebrook Road, Chester, MA 01011. The O'Brien Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
