Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara A. (LeGrand) Dupuis-Yates on April 5th, 2025 at the age of 86. She was born on August 20th, 1938 to the late Hector and Anne (Perrault) LeGrand. After graduating from South Hadley High School in 1956, Barbara spent the next few decades both teaching piano and playing in a number of different local bands. Her grandchildren have fond memories of picking veggies in her garden in the summer months, trips to McCray's for ice cream, and her homemade french meat pie. She will always be remembered for her beautiful piano playing, sharp sense of humor and love of a good pastry. She is survived by her son Richard Dupuis, a brother Dennis LeGrand, grandchildren Jeremiah (Amanda) Cislak, Nicole Tetreault, Brianna (William) Borg, 3 great grandchildren and son-in-law Kerry Tetreault. She is predeceased by brother Robert LeGrand, her first husband Richard Dupuis, late husband Bernard Yates, and daughter Michelle (Dupuis) Tetreault. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday April 17th, 2025 at The O'Brien Family Funeral Home 33 Lamb St., South Hadley MA from 4:00pm - 7:00pm.
