IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bradford Douglas
Winfield
July 16, 1987 – January 9, 2018
Bradford Douglas Winfield, 30, of Charlottesville, VA died suddenly at Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville, VA on January 9, 2018 of complications following knee surgery. He was the beloved son of Richard T. and Elizabeth C. (Boucher) Winfield of South Hadley, MA. Brad was a 2006 graduate of South Hadley High School. He attended Holyoke Community College, and had been employed at the Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport as a Ramp/Ticket Agent and by several security companies in the Charlottesville area. Brad was an easygoing soul who loved life and loved everyone around him. He will always be remembered for his larger-than-life bear hugs! During a memorial service in Charlottesville, Virginia the family learned of the many lives that Brad touched by his selfless acts of kindness to others in the local community. In addition to his parents, Brad is survived by his sister and her husband Catherine (Winfield) and Will Walker of Cambridge, MA, and his brother Timothy, and Tim's fiancée Kimberly Ruoff , both of Manchester, CT. Additionally, he is survived by his maternal grandfather Wilfred A. Boucher, Jr of Fairhaven, MA, and numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brad's dream was to serve his country by enlisting in the United States military. Because this was not possible for him, Brad found his own way to serve and protect through his various airport and security jobs. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Brad's name to the Semper Fi Fund, 825 College Blvd, Suite 102, PMB 609, Oceanside, CA 92057. Please make checks payable to "Semper Fi Fund". Questions: info@semperfifund.org . For online donation information visit https://semperfifund.org .
