IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cecile M
Carrignan
July 22, 1958 – July 27, 2025
Cecile M. Carrignan, 67, died Sunday July 27 surrounded by her family. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of Richard and Lorraine (Jette) Carrignan and lived most of her life in South Hadley. She worked in retail and restaurant management for Sears, Pizza Hut and Bonanza and offered services to the legal industry. During her high school years, Cecile was one of the biggest cheerleaders for her sports teams. Although not on the cheering squad, she brought her own team spirit to the game. Her brother Bob played hockey, so she spent quite a bit of time at the Olympia Skating Rink in West Springfield, supporting the SHHS Tigers. She attended Holyoke Community College with a focus on criminal justice to eventually become a lawyer. Instead, she chose a path to motherhood. She bore her one and only son, Bryant Davis. She committed her entire life to raising that child and this proved to be her absolute life purpose. Bryant grew up to be a double-major, cum-laude, band-member, graduate of the University of Massachusetts. All the while, after her brother passed, Cecile gave her heart and soul mothering her niece and nephew, Jessica and Bobby. Cecile's heart could multiply to meet the needs of her dearest loved ones. In later years, before she took sick, Cecile volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She leaves her son Bryant Davis of South Hadley, her mother Lorraine Carrignan of South Hadley and her sister Denise Bondoni of Plymouth, Michigan. The funeral will be Friday August 1st starting with a calling hour from 9:00 to 10:00 am at St. Patrick's Church, 30 Main St., South Hadley followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 at church. Burial will follow in St. Rose Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St Jude and Dakin Humane Society. https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html?sc_icid=home-btn-donate-now and https://secure.e2rm.com/registrant/DonationPage.aspx?eventid=308389&langpref=en-CA&Referrer=direct%2fnone For more information or to make condolences please go to www.obrienfamilyfh.com
