IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christopher
Bail
July 29, 1953 – October 7, 2020
Christopher L. Bail, 67, passed away on October 7 at Baystate Medical Center. Christopher, the son of Lorraine Bail and the late Oscar J. Bail, was born in Holyoke and lived most of his life in South Hadley. He was the fourth generation of a family-owned shoe store and for years worked alongside his father at O. Bail & Son Shoe Store in Holyoke. He later became a Certified Pedorthist and was the owner of Bail's Custom Footcare in South Hadley. Christopher is survived by his loving and devoted wife Michelle, their children Matthew Bail (Lisa), Laura D'Onofrio (Matthew), Andrea Salvas (Glenn) and Allyson Ramondetta (Jeremy), and nine beautiful grandchildren, Zachary, Molly, Kyle, Tyson, Brandon, Judson, Guilianna, Scarlette, and George. He also leaves behind his cousin Keith O'Connor and his late aunt Lillian O'Connor. Christopher's love of life was as big as his stature. He derived comfort from his pet turtle Speedy, scenic drives with family, scratching lottery tickets, and sitting before the television watching classic TV shows from the '60s and '70s while restringing baseball gloves. Christopher also derived great pleasure from decorating his home with outdoor displays for Halloween and Christmas. Calling hours are October 12 at Curran O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held from St. Patrick's Church, 30 Main St., South Hadley at 11 a.m. on October 13.
