Claire L. (Menard) Cook, 84, died Tuesday August 22nd. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Noel and Rita (Lemieux) Menard and has lived in South Hadley all her life. She was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox and a proud democrat. Claire worked on and off for many years but primarily cared for her family. She leaves her husband Harvey L. Cook, two daughters Deborah Farias of Ludlow and Donna Ewart of Edgartown, MA, two sons Thomas Cook of South Hadley and James Cook of Halifax, VT and their spouses. She also leaves a sister Susan Caulfield of Omaha, Nebraska, sister-in-law Marilyn Menard of Granby, eight grandchildren - Danielle Ewart and Crystal Goulart of Vineyard Haven, A.J. Ewart of Edgartown, Benjamin and Matthew Farias of Ludlow, Amanda Colletta of New York, NY and Ryan and Jamie Cook of Halifax, VT as well as three great-grandsons, Finley and Liam Goulart and Noel Colletta. She was predeceased by her sister, Irene Sills and her brother William "Sonny" Menard. The Funeral will be private. O'Brien Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
