Cynthia R. (Dupuis) Lanney, 71, died Thursday December 29 th at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Holyoke and was raised in the flats of Holyoke before moving to South Hadley 30 years ago. Cindy was a retired pre-school teacher who was also a generational child care provider for her nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, especially her favorite pal Kyle and her favorite Grandson Tyler . She was an avid Bingo player. She was predeceased b y her husband Donald Lanney Sr. Cindy leaves two sons Donald "Donn ie " Lanney Jr. and his wife Karen of Holyoke and Jason Lanney of Westfield, daughter Brenda Dubuque and her fiancé Chris K locker of South Hadley, three brothers Joseph Dupuis and his wife Debra of Carver, James Dupuis and his wife Donna of Holyoke and Brian Dupuis and his wife Rachel of Westfield, three sisters Gail Cote and her husband Robert of South Hadley, Donna Ruell and her husband Marc of Chicopee and Cathy Harmon and her husband Billy of Virginia Beach, VA, five grandchildren Christopher, Cynthia, Sara, Tyler and Kyle and a great grandson Liam. Calling hours will be Friday January 6 th from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the O'Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley followed immediately by a graveside service at Notre Dame Cemetery.
