Deen Raymond Sourdiffe, 65, passed away at home surrounded by loving family on September 30, 2026, after a 7 year battle with cancer. Deen was born on July 28, 1961 in Holyoke, MA to the late Raymond and Estelle (Hamelin) Sourdiffe.
Deen dedicated his life to working with his father building and remodeling homes throughout Western MA. Deen’s passion was building a family home/camp on the Connecticut River with his father. This home was his pride and joy and our family will be forever grateful for the heartfelt memories.
Deen grew up in South Hadley, MA with his parents and his three siblings, whom he is survived by; Dale View (wife Linda McDonald) of Ware, Jan Sourdiffe of Chicopee, and Ray Sourdiffe of South Hadley. He spent his childhood riding bikes, motorcycles, snowmobiling and family summers spent on the river, boating, camping, fishing, picnicking, and campfires with many dock days with friends and family. Deen had a deep appreciation for music, he enjoyed gardening and feeding/watching the birds.
Deen leaves behind the love of his life, his loving and devoted wife of 29 years, Diane (Champagne) Sourdiffe. Deen was a devoted father to Tanya Phelps (Francis Phelps), Brian Sourdiffe and a loving grandfather to; Mckenzie Sourdiffe-Phelps, Jayse Sourdiffe and bonus grandson, Rhett Phelps. He leaves behind an uncle, many other family members to include nieces, cousins, second cousins and many friends.
Services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026, starting with calling hours at the O’Brien Family Funeral Home, South Hadley from 9:30am to 11:30am followed by a funeral home service at 11:30 am.
