Donald C. Hughes II, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Friday July 1 ^st , 2022. Donald was born in Holyoke son of Donald C. Hughes I and Gloria Simpson.  He was raised in MA and lived in OH for a stint with his father before moving back. Don was a US Army Veteran and worked as a contractor and truck driver. Donald spent the last few years of his life caring for his mother Gloria. He was a loving son, loved to fish, and would often support and visit his son is Des Moines. Donald is predeceased by his father. He leaves behind his son Donald III of Iowa; his mother, Gloria of South Hadley and his nephew John "Little John" Hughes of Maine. Calling hours will be held for Donald at the O'Brien Family Funeral Home on Saturday July 16 ^th from 3-5 pm. A family reflection will be held following the calling hours at 5pm.
