Donna Lajoie, 70, died Thursday January 13th at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Ludlow, daughter of the late Aldor and Claire Lavallee and has lived in South Hadley since 1980. She worked as a secretary for Baystate Bearings in Springfield for many years before retiring from Lowes in Hadley. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. Donna loved horses, reading and camping but most of all she loved spending time with husband, granddaughter and son Alan who died in 2014. She leaves her husband Bruce Lajoie, her sister Sue Yerkeys of Agawam, her granddaughter Emma, daughter-in-law Katelyn Lajoie of South Hadley, sisters-in-law Gail Richard of South Hadley and Sandra Lajoie of Ludlow and nieces and Goddaughters Krystal and Melissa. Calling hours will be Tuesday January 18 ^th at the O'Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Friends and family may meet Wednesday January 19 ^th at St. Patrick's Church at 9:30 am for the funeral Mass. Burial will follow the Mass in Notre Dame Cemetery.
