Doris (Lefebvre) Berard, 75, died Monday. Doris grew up in Chicopee and has lived in South Hadley since 1967. She worked many years for the Mass Department of Employment and Training in Holyoke. Doris loved and cherished her family and was a friend to everyone she met.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband, playing bingo, spending time with her children and grandchildren and going shopping with her many friends.  She was well loved in the Pine Grove community and was a driving force behind community events such as the Annual Thanksgiving Dinner and Trim-A-Tree.  Doris was not only selfless with her time, but was also very generous, donating often to her favorite charities.  She leaves behind her loving husband of 52 years Richard Berard, her son Tom Berard of Cambridge, daughters Karen Kosior of Pomfret, CT and Holly Wilson and her husband Rob of Sturbridge, her brother Gerald Lefebvre and his wife Janet of Chicopee and three grandchildren Kelsey and Katelyn Kosior and Mia Berard. The funeral Mass will be Friday at 11 am in St. Patrick's Church. Calling hours at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00pm.
