She was born on April 18th 1937 to Mary (Blash) and George Potter from Worcester MA. Dottie married Raymond Belanger in 1955 and raised their five children in their 66 years together until Raymond passed in December 2021. Dottie worked many years at Monson State development center until she retired. She then devoted her time and love to her family and was always available for her children and grandchildren. Dorothy loved to CLEAN and cook. She briefly moved to Florida and befriended a Vietnamese family. She taught TAU how to cook American dishes. Upon returning to Massachusetts, she and her husband made their home in Granby MA. Dottie enjoyed camping and traveling in their motorhome. Her favorite place was the Breachway in Westerly, Rhode Island where they made many lifetime friends over the decades. Dottie served on the board and was an active member in the American Legion auxiliary unit 275 for over 20 years.
