Douglas Brooksbank, 66, entered into eternal rest on Saturday August 19th surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of 45 years to Dolores Brooksbank. He was born in Holyoke, attended local schools, graduating from Holyoke Trade. Douglas retired from Kings Trucking as a driver and also worked for Overnight Trucking. Douglas enjoyed woodworking, camping with his family in Heath and fishing with his brother-in-law Tom. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard Brooksbank and Pauline Kiakis. Douglas leaves his beloved wife Dolores, his children: Angela (Alex), William (Shannon), Desirae (Jesse). He also leaves his step-father George Kiakis, brother Dennis, sister Judy, brother Richard and his beloved 6 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 9th at 11 am at the South Hadley United Methodist Church, 30 Carew St., S. Hadley. Interment will be private. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. The O'Brien Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
