South Hadley-Edith F. (Kennedy) McClure, 72, died Tuesday at the Holyoke Medical Center. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Thomas and Marian (Purcell) Kennedy and lived most of her life in South Hadley. Edee worked as a waitress at many area restaurants including The Riverboat, Admiral DW's and the Golden Lemon. She loved the beach, especially her vacations in Jamaica. She leaves two sons Sean McClure of Greenfield and Matthew McClure of Victorville, CA, four sisters Debbie Rickless of Longmeadow, Beth Kennedy of Bishop, CA, Lisa Cocco of Gill and Maggie Mercier of South Hadley and her two cats Damion and Kiko. Edee's funeral will be Saturday January 25th starting with calling hours at the O'Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley, MA from 11:00 AM TO 12:30 PM followed by a funeral home service at 12:30 pm. Burial in the Village Cemetery will take place after the funeral home service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union Street, Springfield, MA 01105.
