Elizabeth A. Rudolph, 82, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at RegalCare at Holyoke. Betty was born in Holyoke on November 28, 1943, daughter of the late Doris S. (Fournier) and Arthur J. Morneau
When she was young, her family moved to Midland, Texas, before returning to Holyoke in 1955. At the age of 16, the family moved to Granby, where Betty graduated from South Hadley High School in 1961. In 1963, Betty married and she and her husband, Ralph Rudolph, moved to Nantucket Island, where they started their family and enjoyed island life. In 1969, they relocated with their two young sons to Charlton, New York. Betty spent more than 25 years in Charlton with her husband, raising their three children while operating the family-owned business, Triple R Cleaning.
In 1977, Betty and her husband founded the Charlton Militia Fife & Drum Corps for local school children, and in 1983 they established the Sons & Daughters of Liberty Ancient Fifes & Drums. The family enjoyed many years of fifing and drumming together, participating in countless events throughout the region.
Betty enjoyed cooking, reading, sewing, and knitting, and was an active member of community knitting groups throughout her life. She also volunteered for many years transporting donated food to a local food pantry.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her brother, Arthur A. Morneau.
She leaves her sons, Kevin Rudolph and his wife Jeanne of Scotia, New York, and Lawrence Rudolph and his wife Libby of Albany, New York; her daughter, Rachel Meerschaert and her husband Douglas of Scotia, New York; her brother, Colin A. Morneau of Florida; her sisters, Bernadette Collins of Chicopee, Patricia Merrill of South Hadley, and Margaret Morneau of Holyoke; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many extended family members and friends.
Graveside service information will be announced at a later date. Burial will take place at West Street Cemetery in Granby.
