Gloria T. (Bernier) Dupont, 94, peacefully passed away at her home on November 13, 2020.  She was born January 19, 1926 in Easthampton, MA, the daughter of the late Lucien and Rosalinda (Drouin) Bernier.  Gloria grew up in Canada and married Leo Dupont in 1945. They were wed for 69 years.  She worked as a weaver and loom fixer.  She then became a Certified Nurse's Aide working with much caring at Providence Hospital and the Mother House.  Gloria was predeceased by her husband Leo Dupont in 2015, and her brothers and sisters, Lorraine Bernier, Anita Lachapelle, Armande Massicotte, Roger Bernier and Maurice Bernier, all of Canada.  She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law Napoleon and Cecile Rivest, and Herve and Claire Descoteaux of Chicopee.  Gloria was affectionately called "Memere" by her family and close friends.  "Memere" was always there for everyone in her family and will be truly missed.  She leaves behind her two daughters Christine Regis and husband Richard of Granby, and Cynthia Bishop and Walter of South Hadley.  She immensely loved her 3 granddaughters:  Sheila Jolivet and husband Richard of Granby, Jennifer Bishop (fiancé John Leshure) of Westfield, and Lisa French and husband Brian of North Carolina.  She also leaves 6 great-granddaughters, Emily Freedman, Katrina Belanger, Cindy St. Marie, Meghan Jolivet, Anna French and Julia French, along with 3 great-great-grandchildren.  Aunt Gloria also leaves many nieces and nephews both here and in Canada. The funeral will be held at Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley, MA 01075 on Thursday, November 19, 2020 with a calling hour 9:30 to 10:30 followed by a mass at St. Theresa's Church, at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley, MA.  Memorial donations in her name may be made to a charity of one's choice.  Covid-19 protocols must be followed.
