She was a parishioner at St. Patrick's Church in South Hadley where she was known for having the biggest booth in the Social Center Christmas Bazaar. Special thanks to the Holyoke Hospital Emergency room staff, Doctors Snow and Subramanin, and the VNA staff Danielle Verdejo, Sylvia Fine, Stacie Carlin, Kathryn Crane and April Bartley for the support and kindness through Mom's journey. Some of Gloria's fondest memories came from a trip to Belgium for the 50 th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, where she was our main translator for the trip. The people of Ohey, Belgium and the Oliver Gonne' family along with our new family of Joseph McConnell, pilot on December 25, 1944, has filled her life with daily conversations of that eventful day.

Following the service, burial will take place at St. Rose Cemetery in South Hadley.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Holyoke VNA: Hospice Life Care, 575 Beech St. Holyoke, MA 01040.
