Henry Tenczar, 96, passed away on Monday, November 6th, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center. Henry was born in South Hadley, son of the late Walter and Helen (Poprava) Tenczar. Henry grew up in South Hadley and worked as a laborer in many different facets throughout his life. He was an avid Polka dancer and traveler with his wife, Dorothy, who passed in 2015. Henry enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting and had a passion for pigeon racing. Henry is predeceased by his wife, two brothers, Lewis and William, and 4 sisters; Stella Dietz, Amelia Cisek, Wanda Aiken, and Edna Adams and his daughter-in-law Kristine Tenczar. He leaves behind two sons, Henry and Wayne Tenczar of South Hadley, a daughter Linda Tenczar of South Hadley a sister, Adele Jagla of Chicopee, a grandson David Tenczar and wife April of Belchertown and a great-grandson Aaron Almeida of Belchertown. The committal for Henry will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Sunshine Village, 75 Litwin Lane, Chicopee, MA 01020.
