Irene S. (Malczynski) Pula, 90, died Sunday in Holyoke Medical Center. She was born in Easthampton, daughter of the late John and Sophie (Tyks) Malczynski. Irene was the Assistant Town Clerk and Treasurer for the Town of South Hadley for 12 years. She leaves her son Eugene "Skip" Pula and his wife Nadine of South Hadley, grandchildren Eric and Andrea Pula and her sister Helen Lesko of Hadley. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene Pula, her brothers Edward Hynek and Henry, Walter and Joe "Red" Malczynski and her sisters Stacia Kania, Jean Matysiewicz and Antoinette Sadlowski. The funeral will be Saturday January 18th starting with calling hours at Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley from 9:00 to 10:30am followed by Mass in St. Patrick's Church at 11:00 am.
