Janie T. (Dauphin) LaCombe, 58, passed away suddenly at home on December 31st. She was born in New Britain, CT, the daughter of Anthony Dauphin and the late Eva (Charette) Dauphin. Janie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Carl LaCombe. She leaves two adored sons Casey and Colin LaCombe, her father, two sisters Corlene Roberts and her husband Louis Roberts of Feeding Hills and Audrey Dauphin of Enfield, CT, and her two brothers Gary Dauphin and his wife Lori Dauphin of Somers, CT and Anthony Dauphin of Somers, CT. She also leaves her nieces and nephews Christy Zielinski, Kelsey and Corey Roberts, Trent and Talia Dauphin, and Derek Jasiulevicius. She left behind many living members of the LaCombe family, including her mother-in-law Shirley LaCombe. Loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt and friend, Janie was a genuine listener and always there to help anyone who needed it. Janie was a graduate of Smith College and was a gifted teacher that worked with special needs students. She was fiercely dedicated to making a difference in their lives. She enjoyed visiting the beaches of Cape Cod, rocking in her favorite chair on her front porch and spending time with her sons. Janie was also a talented artist and crafted many beautiful sculptures and paintings during her life. Janie will be remembered for her boisterous laugh, generous spirit, and loyalty to family and friends. The funeral will be Wednesday starting with a calling hour at St. Patrick Church in South Hadley from 10 am to 11 am followed by a funeral mass at 11am.
