Jean T. Barrett, 92, passed away Tuesday September 6th in Holyoke. She was born in Holyoke on February 15, 1930 to the late Marguerite (Foster) and Harold Barrett. She was educated in the local public schools and was a 1947 graduate of Holyoke High School. She spent the next thirty years working for the New England Telephone Company (Now Verizon) and retired in 1978. Since then she had divided her time between South Hadley, South Yarmouth and many partial winters in Fort Lauderdale. She returned to Holyoke in 2011 to reside at Providence Place. She is survived by her Goddaughter Kathleen Davignon (Charles) and their daughters Dara Davignon and Dana Corduff (Mick) all of Holyoke. She is also survived by her two Godsons Edward Shea of Sturbridge and Karl Sokol of West Rutland, VT and her cousins Charles Foster of Northboro, Roberta McGinnis of Laconia, NH, Margaret Dunleavy of Fanwood, NJ and Christine Padden of Westfield. There are no calling hours. Friends and family are invited to meet for a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday September 10 th at 10 am in St. Patrick's Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley, MA. Burial will follow in St. Jerome's Cemetery.
