Joan A. Giannetti 88, passed away on Sunday September 27th, 2026. Joan was born in Holyoke, MA to the parents of Edmond J. And Nora R. (Clifford) Fredette.

Joan was a loving stay at home mom for a number of years and then a long-time worker at AMPAD, Filbek Uniform, Co-Owner of CoGi’s Casual, Riverside Park and Filene’s. Joan loved everything Irish and traveling to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun for a day of gambling.

Joan is predeceased by her parents Eddie and Nora and husband Leonard of 54 years. Joan was a loving mom to her three children Leonard Jr. of South Hadley, MA, Lisa of Oxford, GA, and Tony and his wife Melissa of Holyoke, MA.

In addition to her loving children, Joan is survived by her grandchildren Lenny III, Ben, Gina, Nora, Sophia, Finn, Tony Jr., Nico, and Oscar.

The funeral will be Wednesday September 30 starting with a calling hour from 10:00 am to 11:00 at the O’Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley followed by a funeral home service at 11:00. Burial in St. Jerome Cemetery in Holyoke will follow the service.
