John R. Neill, formerly of Holyoke, son of the late John and Helen Neill, passed away peacefully, on March 1, surrounded by family.  He was born in Holyoke on December 6, 1934.  Jack was raised in Holyoke and graduated from Sacred Heart High School, class of 1954.  He served his country for six years in the United States Army and Army Reserves.  Jack retired as credit manager from the Holyoke Gas and Electric in 1995. He was a member of the Holyoke Lodge of Elks and the Fairview Council Knights of Columbus. Jack was predeceased by his brother Tom Neill in 1990. He leaves his wife of 60 years Patricia (O'Shea) Neill and their wonderful sons and daughters-in-law, John and his wife Michelle of Woodstock CT, Kevin and his wife Trisha of Ludlow MA, Christopher and his wife Andrea of South Hadley MA, and five cherished grandchildren, Sam, Hannah, Harry, Jack, and Alexis, who made him so proud and brought him so much joy. There will be no calling hours.  A Mass of Christian Burial and grave side services will be limited to family.  A celebration of Jack's life will be held at a later date.
