Joseph M. Landry

1946 – 2018

SOUTH HADLEY – Joseph M. Landry, 71, passed away Thursday at home surrounded by his loving family.  Joe was born in Holyoke and has lived h i s entire life i n South Hadley .  He was a proud member of the South Hadley High School " Class of 1964 " and played on the Championship Football, Basketball and Baseball teams.  He worked at Hasbro (Milton Bradley) f or 38 years until his retirement in 2008. He was communicant of St. Patrick's Church . He and his wife , Carole taught round dancing for 20 years at Heavenly Rounds in Chicopee , and took great pleasure in camping with their grandchildren . J oe enjoyed spending time with his family, and also loved to golf as much as possible. He was a great friend to everyone.  H e is predeceased by his wife , Carole (Boucher) Landry who died in 2006.  Joe is survived by his four children and their spouses , Kimberly & Edward Schwalm, Andrea & Doug Lacey, Natalie & Scott Levreault and Christopher & Beth Landry; eight grandchildren, Danielle & Gabrielle Schwalm, Corey & Sarah Lacey, Emma & Gracie L evr e ault , and C.J. & Chloe Landry.  He also leaves behind three brothers and their wives, David & Marilyn Landry , Peter & Jackie Landry , and Richard & Diane Landry, along with his two nephews and niece, Kevin Landry, Brad Landry, & Erica Napolitano, and their families . He is also survived by many loving cousins, great- nieces and great-nephews, and a host of lifelo ng friends.  The funeral will be held at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street Tuesday at 10:30 followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Monday  from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.
