September 21, 1946 – November 2, 2019
Leo Paul Wiedersheim Sr., electrician, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 2, 2019 at the age of 73. He was the son of Alfred F.E. Wiedersheim and Jennie Golembiewski. He was born and raised in Springfield on Tracy Street. He graduated from Springfield Trade School. He joined the Navy from 1964 through 1967. During his enlistment he visited Spain, England and Gitmo. He received teacher's certification from Westfield State College and taught at Pathfinder Regional School in Palmer from 1975 to 1985. He worked for Racine Electric, Turner Electric and Collins Electric. He retired from IBEW Local #7. He resided in Ware for over 30 years until his move to Granby 16 years ago with his fiancé Carol Frenette. He lived in Aruba for the winter months with his fiancé. He will be deeply missed by Carol Frenette, along with son Leo P. Wiedersheim Jr. and his wife Lisa and his 3 grandchildren Collin, Martin and Alfred Wiedersheim all of Hopkinton, MA. He also leaves a brother Alfred Wiedersheim of East Longmeadow. Calling hours at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley will be Wednesday November 6th from 4:00 to 6:30 with a closing service at 6:30 pm.
