Lila H. Katz, 93, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 27, 2023.
She was born September 27, 1929 in Bronx, New York to the late David and Sophie Satz. Lila lived all over the country before settling in Holyoke after marrying Edward (Penny) Katz.  Together they raised a loving family along with growing the family business Arnold's Meats, where she worked as Office Manager until she was 90. Lila attended the University of Miami to study to be a Spanish interpreter, but her plans were interrupted when she fell in love with Eddie and moved to Massachusetts. She was active on the Board of Rodphey Sholom Synagogue's Sisterhood, loved to shop, travel and spend time with her family. Lila will be greatly missed by her son Larry (Marianne), daughter Susan of South Hadley, grandsons Jeff (Eliza) and Dan (Julia) and granddaughter Elyssa. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Edward and son Jerry. Funeral services will be private.
