IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda G.
Scott
October 8, 1941 – November 9, 2025
Linda G. (O'Connor) Scott passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, November 9, 2025. She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer for the 4th time. Linda was the daughter of William and Millie (Gagne) O'Connor. Growing up she was a ranking tennis player; she and her parents would travel across New England to many tournaments. Linda was educated in South Hadley Schools until she attended MacDuffie School and later Katherine Gibbs. Upon starting her career Linda worked at Scott Graphics. She became a stay-at-home mom for her 3 girls. Once they finished school, Linda went to work for the Town of South Hadley at the DPW and the Conservation Office for many years. In her personal life Linda was a very busy lady. She taught CCD, was involved with Catholic Charities for St. Theresa's Church, volunteered with Meals on Wheels, was an Avon Representative and an avid gardener. She could be found gardening in her yard by her golf cart and cup of coffee. Linda was actively involved in her girls' and grandsons' lives, where she became "Mom" and "Grams" to many. Her house was always busy with family and friends coming and going that often people would say the yard often looked like a used car lot. When stopping in you would hope she was baking her apple squares or snickerdoodle cookies and score a ziplock baggie to go. She will be greatly missed by her 2 cherished grandsons, Mitchell and Austin Robinette. Followed by her favorite girls, Kelly and her husband Scott Bassett of Montgomery, Kimberly Scott-Robinette of South Hadley and her (#1) daughter Kristen and her husband Terry Nickl. Her husband Bob of 51 years predeceased her in 2016. Linda's pets Coco-No-Nuts, Zo and Nala will also miss her. Calling hours will be Wednesday, November 19, 2025, 4pm–7pm at O'Brien Family Funeral Home located at 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley, MA 01075. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Halfway Home Cat Rescue, P.O. Box 614, Chicopee, MA.
