Chicopee – Louis R. Monfette, 69, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 after a battle with cancer. Louis was born in Holyoke, son of the late Gloria (LaMountain) and Richard Monfette. He grew up in Holyoke and spent time living in Springfield and West Springfield before settling into Chicopee. Louis worked professionally as a QC Inspector in the Aerospace industry before he retired in 2016.  He leaves behind his two children, Emily Monfette of Holyoke, MA and David Monfette of Agawam, MA, a sister, Diane Belair and Fiancé Mike Mcnierney of Chicopee, and a brother Richard Monfette and Fiancé Yvonne Musgrave of Clearmont, FL. Louis also leaves his former wife Margaret "Peggy" Manning of Springfield. A Memorial Service will be held for Louis at St. Annes Church, 30 College St, Chicopee, MA 01020 on Saturday August 17th at 10 am. Please meet at the church.
