Obituary

Marilyn G. (Bullough) Payette, 86, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Baystate Medical Center. Marilyn was born in South Hadley, daughter of the late Pauline (Haas) and John Bullough. Growing up with 18 siblings, Marilyn developed a selfless personality, and she spent most of her life caring for others. She had a knack for making friends and once you met, she knew you forever. She cherished the time spent with family and friends more than anything.  Marilyn loved being with others, doing things like bowling, bingo, bunco, playing pitch with the girls at the Holyoke Council on Aging and a monthly trip to the casino.  She had a spirit about her that was inviting, thoughtful and truly fun loving.  She is predeceased by her 7 brothers; Kenneth, Franklin, Nelson, George, John, William, and Wilbur, and 11 sisters; Millie, Lillian, Eleanor, Bernice, Lorraine, Agnes, Connie, Doris, Shirley, Barbara, and Emma. Marilyn leaves behind her husband of 32 years, Len Payette of Southampton, a son, Bud Beaudry and wife Jill of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, 3 daughters; Starr McGrath of Southampton, Linda Tyburski of Mount Holly, NJ, and Sue Saindon of Chesapeake, VA, 12 grandchildren; Steven, Hailey, Rich, Brian, Ashley, Lindsay, Sydney, Devin, Conner, Riley, Matt and Tyler, 15 great-grandchildren; Miranda, James, Damian, Rylee, Olivia, Rowan, Shay, Jack, Carter, Alexander, Charlotte, Hadley, Andrew, Adeline and Wesson, 3 sister in laws; Bonnie Emerson, Judy Peloquin and Kim (Craig) Smith, a brother in law; Medrick Payette, hundreds of nieces and nephews and thousands of friends. Calling hours will be held for Marilyn at the O'Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St. South Hadley, MA 01075 on Monday, April 22nd from 4-7 pm. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and the burial will be private.
