Marion H. Roberts, 89, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday August 22 ^nd . Born in Great Barrington, MA to parents Robert and Sarah (Handler) Pease, she graduated from Hitchcock Free Academy in Brimfield, MA. She worked as a cook in area nursing homes and was a chef manager at Mt. Holyoke College for many years. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 266 in Granby and also served as Director of Franklin Hampshire District 2 and President of Department of Massachusetts Auxiliary. She was an avid Red Sox fan and was able to attend many games during her lifetime. Marion was affiliated with the Church of Christ. She was predeceased by sisters Dorothy Pease and Sarah Arnold, brothers David, Joseph and Robert Pease, also her first husband Joseph Jean Paul Lapointe, daughter Joan Lapointe, sons Paul Lapointe and George Jeffers Jr., granddaughter Katie Lapointe and son-in-law Harry Hastings. She is survived by her husband of 49 years Kenneth Roberts, daughters Susan St. Pierre (Paul) of Westfield, Doris Hastings of South Hadley, Rosemary Turgeon (Gary) Brewer of Maine and Nancy Delabarre (Brian) of Conway, sons Joseph Lapointe (Karla) of Chicopee, James Lapointe (Toni) of Springfield, Robert Jeffers of Pittsfield and Kenneth Roberts Jr. (Carolyn) of Holyoke, 36 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. The funeral will be Thursday August 26 ^th starting with calling hours from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the O'Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley, MA followed by a funeral home service at 11:00 am.
