Mary T. Lenarcen (Griffin), 95, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday May 24, 2025 at Glengariff Nursing and Rehab in Glen Cove New York. Mary was the daughter of Bridget (Falvey) and Thomas Griffin.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Lenarcen whom she married on November 20, 1950.  Together they made their home in South Hadley for over 60 years. Mary was a devoted mother to Maryanne (and husband Mark Elias) and Kathryn (and husband Brian Rudy).  Her family grew to include cherished grandchildren Sheila, Meghan, Matthew, and Kristen, and dear great-grandchildren Henry, Zachary and Bridget.

She was employed as a customer service rep by Philip Hano Company for over 35 years retiring in 1987.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband to NYC, Bermuda, and Europe, as well as taking her grandchildren on many adventures.

Mary will fondly be remembered by all who knew her as a one-of-a-kind person, with a quick Irish wit, twinkle in her eye, and a ready smile for everyone.

Calling hour at the O'Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, So. Hadley will take place from 10:00-11:00 on June 3, 2025.  The funeral Mass will follow at St Patrick's Church at 11:30 am with interment at the Massachusetts Veteran's Cemetery in Agawam.  Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Heart Association.
