Mavis Ann Blain, 90, passed away peacefully on January 18th 2026, surrounded by her family. Mavis was born on May 8th 1935 to the late Alton and Beulah (Currie) Clark. Mavis was born in Ft. Fairfield, ME and has lived in South Hadley for the past 50+ years. She worked at National Blank Book in Holyoke for many years. She enjoyed interior decorating, always dabbling for new and improved ideas. She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in South Hadley. She was predeceased by her husband Leo Blain in 2005, her brother Gary Clark and her grandson Matthew Labonte in 1990. She leaves her daughter Trina Labonte and her husband Paul, grandchildren Kyle and Ryan of Agawam, step-children Melody Provost, Robert Blain, Raymond Blain, Leo Blain Jr., Henry Blain, Ann Marie Decoutoux and Dennis Blain. The funeral will be Saturday February 7th with a calling hour from 10am to 11 am at the O’Brien Family Funeral Home followed by a funeral home service at 11 am.
