Obituary

Nancy Ellen Sedlak, aged 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 24 th , 2022 at a nursing home in Greenfield, MA after a lengthy journey with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Ludlow, MA on November 25, 1945 to Dwight and Blanche (Oliver) Tucker and graduated from South Hadley High School, in 1963. She married the love of her life, Wayne Sedlak, in 1965, and spent forty years building a beautiful life together full of memories. She worked as a Postal Clerk for the United States Postal Service, in Granby MA for many years, receiving numerous commendations for her exemplary service, including several from the Massachusetts Senate. Nancy lived her wonderful life in service to others, volunteering at the Council of Aging and Granby Senior Center, assisting with town government and library, volunteering for Granby Charter Days, and leading charitable causes with her grandsons, such as Thanksgiving food drives that benefited the people of her community. Nancy enjoyed playing Gin Rummy, sailing on cruises, and many laughs with loyal friends & friends.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her brother William "Bill" Tucker, and her beloved grandson, Brandon Michael Sedlak. She leaves behind her adoring son, Scott, and his family, her brother Thomas "Tom" Tucker and sister-in-law, Anne, her best friends & in-laws, Charlene and George Sedlak, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she enjoyed watching grow up.

A family service was held in her honor on October 31, 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any Alzheimer's Research Fund of your choosing.
