Pauline Anne Boisselle, 71, peacefully passed away on July 16th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Holyoke, Pauline was the oldest child of the late Gerard and Shirley (Trudeau) Boisselle. She grew up in South Hadley and graduated from South Hadley High School in 1973, where she proudly played the alto saxophone in the school band. Pauline went on to graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1977. Following graduation, she joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and served on the Navajo Nation in Arizona, an experience that reflected her lifelong commitment to helping others.

Pauline later earned her Master’s degree from Tufts University in 1990 before returning to the Navajo Nation, where she dedicated over 30 years to St. Michael’s Association for Special Education. Her pioneering work as the state’s first Occupational Therapist and her compassionate approach made a meaningful difference, inspiring others through her unwavering dedication to her students, colleagues, and community.

She leaves her beloved daughter, Emma Rose Boisselle of North Hollywood, California; her sister, Maxine Meckling of Chicopee; and her nephews, Garrett Meckling and fiancée, Beth, of Greenfield, along with Nathan and Myra Meckling of Ecuador. In addition to her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her brother, Andrew Lee Boisselle, whose memory she cherished.

Calling hours are scheduled for Friday, July 24th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the O’Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley. A Funeral Mass to honor Pauline’s life will be held on Saturday, July 25th at 11 am at St. Patrick’s Church in South Hadley. Family and friends are invited to gather at The Knights of Columbus on Memorial Drive in Chicopee after the church service to celebrate Pauline’s life and lasting legacy.
