Obituary

Pearline M. (Egan) Scribner, 92, died Tuesday March 11 at Mission Care in Holyoke. She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Wiiliam D. and Pearl (Hebert) Egan. She grew up and went to school in Holyoke before moving to South Hadley where she lived for many years. She worked at VNA and Providence Hospital before working at the South Hadley High School as school nurse for 30 years. Pearline also owned and operated Sistours Travel with her sister Carol Dineen. She attended St. Patrick's Church where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and loved spending time with her family and friends. Pearline leaves her daughter Joanne Trottier and her husband Gene of South Hadley, her brother William Egan and his wife Kathy of FL, a grandchild Herbert W. Scribner Jr. and his wife Katie of Arkansas, nieces and nephews and her very dear and close friends Phyllis Leduc and Odette Czapliki. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert C. Scribner, her son Herbert W. Scribner Sr. and her sisters Carol Dineen and Susan Egan. The funeral will be Monday March 17th starting with a calling hour at St. Patrick's Church from 10:00 am to 11:00am followed by Mass at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union St., Springfield, MA 01105. The O'Brien Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
