Richard E. Durchanek

1934 – 2020

HOLYOKE – Richard Earle Durchanek, 85, died peacefully Sunday afternoon surrounded by his loving family and friends.  He was a longtime communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Holyoke and member of the South Hadley Lion's Club.  He was predeceased by a daughter Erica, son Keith and his 2 ^nd wife Wendy (Barker) Durchanek.  He leaves his present wife Julia H. Durchanek; their children, Amadeus (Medina), Antonin (Odellia) and Alexis Durchanek; a son Christopher Durchanek (Robyn) and their three children. His brother Louis and his wife Charline, their children Ulysses (Shelia) & Casandra (d), several nieces & nephews, as well as his special grandnephew Marshall Vanderminden and grandniece Sondra Vanderminden.  The funeral will be held at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley Saturday at 9:00am with Liturgy in St. Paul's Episcopal Church at 10:00am.  Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  For more details please visit curranobrien.com.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The South Hadley Lions Club or the music fund of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Holyoke, MA
