Robert A. Archambault Sr., age 76, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2019 surrounded by his loving family at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield following a brief illness. Born in Holyoke, the son of Arthur and Ella Archambault (Moat), he was a lifelong resident of South Hadley, Granby and Belchertown. Bob was a truck driver for all of his life and retired in 2006 after driving for Waste Management for over 35 years. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as drinking coffee every day with his friends at the "coffee shop". Bob also enjoyed playing cards and helping others with handyman tasks on his own time. He leaves the love of his life and his wife of 55 years, Nancy (Cote) Archambault; his sons, Robert Archambault Jr. and his wife Paula, Ryan Archambault and his wife Patty, his daughter, Barbara Archambault-Bridger and her husband Larry; his grandchildren Shannon Basset and her husband Jason, Tylar Archambault and her boyfriend Corey, Jake Archambault, Valerie Archambault, Mia Archambault and her fiancée Brett Scott, Melanie Archambault and boyfriend Kyle, Britney Archambault-Jackson (preceded by Marissa Jackson), and Ashlie Williams; great-grandchildren Harley Archambault, Addalyn Bassett and Brayden Archambault; his sister Judy Laverdiere and brother Arthur Archambault; (preceded by his brothers William and Roger Archambault and sister Nancy L'Heroux); and countless nieces, nephews and close friends. Family and friends may call at the Curran O'Brien Funeral Home, South Hadley, MA from 9:30a.m. to 11a.m. on Saturday July 13th, followed by a brief ceremony at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's memory to the American Cancer Society.
