On January 18th Bob was called home by the Lord & passed away peacefully with his brother & lifelong friend Ronald Gaunt by his side. Bob was born July 31st, 1941, to Joseph H. Gaunt Sr & Rose (Donovan) Gaunt. He grew up in South Hadley & lived an amazing life. He served his country in the USAF. & worked as a postal clerk in town. Bob was also a printer for the Ft Lauderdale newspaper where he met his longtime girlfriend Donna Masner of Punta Gorda Fl. He then finally worked as a mail handler @ the Springfield MA BMC where he retired in 2006. Bob was in avid Red Sox fan & enjoyed fishing with his lifelong friend Chubby Calkins. Bob also owned several racehorses in Florida where he spent his retirement.

Bob leaves behind his brother Ronald Gaunt & wife Suzie of Ft. Myers FL, sister Ellen Saganich of Clinton TN, Nephew & friend Michael Gaunt & wife Hui-Wen Chia of Chicopee Ma, Niece Deborah & Tom Blondek of South Hadley Ma, Nephews Robert & Vicki Saganich of Monroe NC, Shawn & Angel Saganich of Rocky Top TN, Nieces Dawn, Terri-lynn, Mickey, Kim & Bee, as well as Joe & Lori Gaunt of Buckeye AZ & many great nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph Gaunt in 2021, a niece, Charlene who passed away in 2012 and two sister-in-laws Bonnie and Virginia Gaunt. Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Calling hours are January 26th 9 - 1030AM @ The O'Brien Family Funeral home, 33 Lamb St. South Hadley, MA. The funeral service will take place following the visitation at 10:30 with burial @ St Rose Cemetery.
