Robert (Bob) Nolin of South Hadley, MA died peacefully on May 31, 2019. Bob is survived by his wife Claudette (Rondeau) Nolin. He was born on January 27, 1936 in Holyoke, MA to Pierre and Irene (Dansereau) Nolin. He was raised in South Hadley and graduated from South Hadley High in 1953, and attended Bryant College. He retired as the Executive Officer, from the Fort Collins, CO Board of Realtors® after 21 years of service, September 30, 2005. He worked for the Danville Board of Realtors® in Danville, IL from 1978 to 1985. He was co-owner of Van Real Estate and Insurance, South Hadley, MA from 1958 to 1978. He was also Executive Officer for the South Hadley Housing Authority. He was the past president of the Holyoke Board of Realtors®, Realtor of the year, State education Chairman, State MLS Chairman, District Vice President and GRI. Once he retired and returned to South Hadley, he became a driver for the Loomis Village in South Hadley. He also worked as an interim Executive Officer for various Board of Realtors® that needed assistance. He was a communicate at St. Patrick's Church in town.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 5 children: Claire Nolin (Al Jenkins) – Fort Meyers, FL, Deborah (Robert) Welch – Henrietta, TX, Theresa (Mark) Rivers – Shutesbury, MA , Robert (Kelly) Nolin – Reading, IA, Elizabeth Williams – Henrietta, TX.: his grandchildren, Carolyn, Anthony, Mark, Marie, Amanda, Katherine, Edward, Susan, and Thomas, and great grandchildren: Damien, Anthony Jr, Tabitha, Adalyn, Lillian, John Mark, Annie, and Branson due soon. He leaves his in- laws Patricia and Hans Stauffer and Kathy and Paul Duquette. He also leaves nieces and nephews: Lynn, Ricky, Chrissie, Hans, Michelle, and Nicole. Robert was predeceased by his parents Pierre and Irene (Dansereau) Nolin and his brother Richard and his niece Victoria Stauffer. Visitation will be on Wednesday June 5, 2019 between 4-7pm at Curran O'Brien Funeral Home at 33 Lamb St, South Hadley, MA. With the funeral being held on Thursday June 6, 2019 at 9 am from Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home followed by Mass at 10 am at St. Patrick's Church, South Hadley, MA.
