Robert Paul Patenaude was reunited with his beloved Wife Terry in Heaven on September 6 ^th after a long battle with chronic illness. He was the beloved Dad of Cynthia Papineau and Christopher Patenaude. He also has a very close bond with Aaron Papineau whom he always called "Son". He was the eldest Brother to Mike and Ray. He was predeceased by his beautiful Wife Teresa (Vermette), loving Parents Alcide and Ella and younger Brother Gene. He was an extremely loving Grandpa to Adam and Evan Papineau. He was a disabled Veteran of the United States Air Force. He proudly served as an Aircraft Mechanic achieving the rank of Tech Sergeant. He was a lover of History, Politics, Classic Cars, Harley Davidson, watching comedies such as Mels Brooke's Classics, The Simpsons, Family Guy and Seinfeld, Listening to Classic Rock, especially his favorite band the Rolling Stones and listening to Conservative Talk Radio. His biggest joy came from watching his Grandsons grow. He was such a huge part of their lives. He will be deeply missed for his wisdom, sense of humor, sarcasm, compassion, strength and courage. Calling hours will be Saturday September 11 ^th from 10:00 am to 12 noon at the O'Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley followed by a funeral home service at 12 noon. Burial with Military Honors will follow at West St. Cemetery in Granby. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Human Fund or the Disabled American Veterans.
