Roger Morin, of DeLand, Florida entered the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 24, 2021. Roger was born on November 21, 1944 in Holyoke, Massachusetts to Armand and Fleurette (Marcotte) Morin. Roger graduated from SHHS in 1962 and then earned his MBA from the University of Massachusetts, He married Nancy (Mungall) Morin in 1966. Roger served in the U.S. Air Force. After leaving the Air Force he furthered his education earning his MBA at Western New England College.
Roger liked to say that he had two careers, one in the accounting field, and the other as a business owner. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially camping. After retirement, he and Nancy traveled the country in their RV. Roger could often be found in his workshop building remote controlled planes, a lifelong passion. He was a member of the Golden Hawks RC Club, a parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church is Deland, FL and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Roger will be missed by his beloved wife of 55 years, his children Michelle (Jamie) Tarpley and Jeffrey (Jill) Morin, and his four grandchildren: Abbey and Olivia Morin and Alex and Taylor Tarpley. They take solace in a life well-lived and the promise of eternal life with his Savior. Roger will be interred in Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley, Mass. on July 8, 2022 at 11 am. O'Brien Family Funeral Home is in charge.
