October 15, 1937 – November 2, 2020
Ronald Gagne, 83, passed away on November 2 nd , 2020 at Holyoke Medical Center after a brief illness. He was Pre-deceased by his wife Kathleen Gagne of 52 years in marriage in October 2019, and his sister Arlene (Gagne) Hennessey several years prior. He was a devoted family man and loved being with family and friends whatever the occasion. After her passing in October 2019, he missed his wife terribly, and she was never far from his heart and thoughts. He is survived by two sons, Craig and Eric Gagne of Granby MA, nieces, nephews and family friends who will miss having him in their lives. Ronald was also an animal lover, especially of his two beloved pet cats, who will miss him; they were never far from his side. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's church in South Hadley, and a member of Roofers and Slaters Local 248. He worked for Titan Roofing for many years before retiring around the year 2000. Ronald had also proudly served his country, in the United States Coast Guard. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Dakin Animal Shelter in his name to help support animal rescue. Calling hours at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home will be Sunday November 8 th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. The funeral Mass will be Monday November 9 th at 10:00 am in St. Patrick's Church.
