Obituary

Theresa-Louise Roberts, 83, passed away on Sunday, October 27th surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Yvette (Dulong) and Albert H Leduc.

Terry, as she was known, graduated from Holyoke High School and received advanced Certificates from Holyoke Community College in the food service industry.  She worked, most recently, as a food supervisor and cook at Falls Nursing Home for many years and was also a "Lunch Lady" at South Hadley High School in her later years.

She married her husband Ronald in 1961 and settled in Holyoke then South Hadley where she raised her family. Terry was a member of Saint Patrick's Parish, the S. Hadley Senior Center, and participated in the Ahearn pilgrimages to St. Anne's Shrine in Canada many times on the disabled trips with her husband. As a parishioner and member of the Ladies' Guild at Saint Patrick's, Theresa was the 12th recipient of the Ladies' Guild's Mother Marion Award and was a repeat cast member for many years of St. Patrick's fundraiser variety show "The Zany Review".  She had many hobbies, including sewing, knitting, crocheting, baking and she was a veracious reader.

Theresa is predeceased by her husband Ronald F. Roberts, and three brothers: Thomas, Albert and Charles Leduc. She leaves behind her 5 children: Timothy and wife Michelle of South Hadley, MA,  Ellen and husband Luis of Norwalk, CT, William and wife Bethany of Bow, NH, Anne and husband Roger of Chicopee,  Crystal of South Windsor, CT, 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to meet for Theresa's funeral mass at 11 am on Saturday, November, 2nd at Saint Patrick's Church, 30 Main St. South Hadley, MA 01075. Private burial to follow at St. Rose De Lima Cemetery, 49 Olsen St. Chicopee, MA 01020.

Theresa was a very caring and nurturing person. This was evidenced by the care she took of any and all friends or family members in need. With that in mind, she has requested that in lieu of flowers or a charitable donation, that acts of kindness and assistance be offered and given to family, friends or strangers in need – if even just a smile or hug.
